Man Killed In Sheetz Parking Lot Shooting: Coroner Confirms (Update)

A man was fatally shot in the parking lot of a Sheetz convenience store in East Manchester Township on Tuesday evening, Dec. 24, according to the York County Coroner's Office.

The shooting occurred at 4309 North George Street Extension, with the first emergency call received around 5:15 p.m. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:32 p.m. Deputy Coroner Molly York responded to investigate and certify the death.

Authorities have not released the identity of the victim but confirmed that next of kin have been notified. The cause and manner of death remain under investigation, with an autopsy scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 26, at 10 a.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown.

York County Regional Police Department, assisted by County of York detectives, is leading the investigation. Officials have not disclosed any information about other individuals involved and stated that there is no immediate danger to the public.
